Benefits Of Krishak Bandhu Scheme
- A life cover insurance of rupees 200000 will be given to every beneficiary as per the Krishak Bandhu ID scheme.
- Insurance cover will be provided to all of the farmers who die accidentally in the process of implementation of the Krishak Bandhu ID scheme.
- The crop cover Insurance of rupees 5000 will be given in two installments to the Krishak Bandhu ID beneficiaries.
- A 3 thousand crores rupees budget is decided for the implementation of this Krishak Bandhu ID scheme.
- Insurance cover will be provided between 15 days after the death of the victim.
- The premium for Crop Insurance will also be provided by the state government to all of the beneficiaries under the Krishak Bandhu ID scheme.
- Rupees 5,000 per acre in two installments are also provided to the beneficiaries, one in Kharif and the other in Rabi season.

- Applicant must be a native of West Bengal

Key Features Of Scheme
- The money will be available through the agriculture department Krishak Bandhu schemes would benefit over 72 lakh farmers of the state. Both projects will be launched in January, and the farmers can apply for relief from February onward.
- A new policy to grant Rs 2 lakh per farmer family in case of the death of a farmer The registration of farmers and share-croppers under this Krishak Bandhu ID scheme will start in February. Benefits will accrue from January 1, 2019.
Components Of WB Krishak Bandhu Scheme 2023 – Assured Income & Death Benefit
There are 2 components under the West Bengal Krishak Bandhu Scheme which have been described below:-
- Assured Income – The benefit of this Krishak Bandhu ID scheme has been provided by the state government to all farmers and agricultural families. There is a single digital card-based identity for all farmers of West Bengal. The direct benefit of this scheme includes 2 components. (Krishan Bandhu ekyc) Farmers with 1 or more acres of land will get Rs. 5000 Pa for both Rabi and Kharif seasons. The first installment will be provided in the month of June and the second installment in the month of November.
- At the same time, farmers have to pay Rs. Minimum assistance of Rs. 2000 per year on a pro-rata basis.
- Death Benefit- Under the death benefit Krishak Bandhu ID scheme, the families of the farmers would be provided with Rs. 2 lakh including suicide. All the farmers who are between 18 to 60 years old can avail of new insurance policy benefits.
