Hello friends, here is some good news for the Andhra Pradesh people. The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh has announced a new scheme for the welfare of poor people of Andhra Pradesh. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the housing sites distribution scheme under the “Pedalandariki IIIu scheme” (Houses for all the poor) scheme. With the help of this scheme, lots of Jobs generated in the state and it will also boost the state economy.
Pedalandariki IIIu Scheme
Under this scheme, the poor people will get low-cost houses. Almost 30.6 lakh people in the state get benefits under this scheme.
YS Jagan says that “We will be building not houses but new townships”. Adding that the 17,000 houses being built in the first phase of construction will be known as self-sufficient villages. These towns have layouts with all basic infrastructures like roads, drainage, drinking water, YSR Janata bazaars, clinics, bus stands, Anganwadi, schools, function halls, community halls, parks, and all other basic amenities will be available under this scheme.
This scheme is launched under the manifesto of the YSRCP election. In that manifesto “CM said that the state government promised to build 25 lakh houses but now the government is increasing this number and now building 31 lakh houses under this scheme.”
1 cent of the land will be allotted in urban areas and 1.5 cents of land will be allotted in rural areas to each beneficiary under the low-cost housing scheme “Pedalandariki IIIu”. And the title deeds would be issued in the name of the women.
In this scheme, full title deeds will not be issued to the beneficiaries because of the High Court’s impending litigation over the program.
The state government enabled the beneficiaries to sell the units in five years but it will remove the clause following the High court intervention.
While under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 28.30 lakh houses would be built in the state. Under which the central government will release a grant of Rs 1.50 lakh per unit. And the Chief Minister YS Jagan said Rs 50,490 crore would be spent on the construction of houses.
Under this scheme house, site distribution will be a continuous process and no eligible person would be left in this scheme. Almost Rs 23,535 crore worth of land is being given away in the form of house sites.

And another Rs 30,000 per unit in rural areas will be covered under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Programme (MGNREGP).
While in local areas, the state government will spend Rs 30,000 per unit besides providing sand-free cost for construction. In the starting first phase, 15.10 lakh houses will be built and the remaining balance will be taken up in the second phase.
The former Telugu Desam Party government built 2,68,625 housing units in the state under the PMJAY scheme. The completed houses are going to be handed over to the beneficiaries.
