MYSY Scholarship
For students from Gujarat’s economically disadvantaged communities, there is the Mukhymantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana (MYSY) Scholarship programme. MYSY scholarship is open to all students who want to continue higher education, such as diploma courses, engineering, pharmacy courses and medical courses. An annual budget of Rs 1000 crore is allocated to this scholarship programme by the government. Scholarship Renewal MYSY
The student must have received at least a 50% on their previous final test and have maintained at least a 75% attendance rate to be eligible to renew their MYSY Scholarship. The MYSY Scholarship programme does not allow students to renew their scholarships if this qualifying requirement is not met.
Benefits and features of the MYSY Scholarship
- Non-reserve students will also receive financial aid for books and equipment purchases under the MYSY scholarship programme.
- Students enrolled in dental and medical programmes in Gujarat would receive financial aid totaling Rs. 10 lakh over the course of five years.
- All category students are eligible for an age relaxation for government jobs. This five-year age reduction
- Training will be provided by training centres for all students who want to take competitive exams.
- If there are no higher education facilities or government hostels in that area, the government would additionally give aid of Rs. 1200 per month for ten months.
- All students who have chosen diploma programmes and have completed classes in grades 10 and 12 with at least 80 percent will receive either Rs. 25000 per year or 50 percent off of tuition, whichever is less.
- The government will offer free clothing, books, and other necessities under the MYSY scholarship programme.
Who Is Eligible For The MYSY Scholarship Program?
- All students who desire to enrol in a diploma programme or bachelor’s degree programme who received 80 percent or more of the possible points in their class of 10th or 12th grade
- Students that received more than 65 percent of their points in their diploma and desire to enrol in a bachelor’s programme
- Students whose parents’ combined annual income does not exceed Rs. 600000
